This is my final music magazine front cover. It took a lot of attempts to make it look good. I tried many different looks to see what worked best. I feel like i have worked well on this task and the questionnaire results i recieved made my decision on the colours, masthead, strapline etc.
I think the masthead stand out well on the page, and the picture also catches your attention. The fonts and the colours are consistant, so it doesnt look unprofessional.

I think that this is a good front cover as it has strong consistency, it only contains 4 colours of font, the main image is very strong and the masthead stands out really well, this looks like a prefessional cover due to the consistency.
ReplyDeleteThe front cover looks very good and clearly layed out. I like the way you thought creatively and put some sell lines at the end of the guitar as it starts to go out of focus but this has been well covered up and hardly noticable.
ReplyDeleteThe masthead 'Sound" uses a very good font style and is appropriate for the rest of the sell lines as the colours don't clash. I would make the masthead a little bit bigger and move it more to the centre, as it is left justified.
On the whole a very well made girly music magazine.
I really like the colours you have used on your masthead, i think the yellow really stands out on the page. I also like the angle you have taken your image, i think it is really different and interesting. I also really like the background of your front cover. I think where you have used yellow writing for cover lines i think it blends in with the white a background a bit.
ReplyDeleteYour Front cover and contents page are both very good. They are both set out well and are clear to read. The Masthead stands out a lot because of the font, font size and the colour. The main image is also good because it draws people in.

I like the font you have used for the masthead, its bold which makes it sand out. Well done.
Your front cover is very well produced. I like the way that your masthead stands out from the page and the colour scheme is great, they all work really well together. I like way that it doesnt look like there are any spaces that need filling. The background is nice, it makes it look very funky and different from other magazines. Your image is well taken, as the girl looks like she is facing to the target audience and I think this is job well done :)
ReplyDeleteThe main thing that stands out to me when i look at your front cover, has to be the image! youve really thought about where to place the image and i think it works really well. The way the girl in the photo is holding the guitar makes it look like she is pointing it at me, which i think is very effective. The pattern youve used as the background is just what your front cover needed to set it off! Well done karen!
