Here is my finished school magazine :)! I feel that i did OK and it turned out quite good. From this task i have learnt and will continue to pick up new skills and show my improvement on when i work on my music magazine.

Today i worked on my school magazine, so far i think i am doing quite well and it is coming along nicely.
Over the holiday we had several tasks we had to do. We had to complete our draft designs, plan our photoshoot and do a questionnaire to distribute to our targeted audience. Next lesson we are planning on starting our music magazine. :)

Update

Since the last blog, i have put all my images for my school magazine on a A3 powerpoint presentation and completed my Music Magazine Proposal, i included information like what my Masthead, Strapline and Double Page Spread is going to be.

My planning folder is gradually coming together now, i have completed the following;
- Mindmap
- Picture Sequence
- Music Magazine Analysis x 2
- Double Page Spread Analysis
- A3 page of images for school magazine
- Music Magazine Proposal

Over the holidays i will be coming up with ideas for my Music Magazine, i will plan and take pictures and complete a questionnaire asking my targeted audience what they think of my ideas and the styles i am planning to use.

Update :) 01-10-09

From the last lesson, i have finished my double page spread and started to create my school magazine. I collected ideas and jotted them down. I then took the camera out and started to snap the shots i needed. I took a main image for my front cover and then several little pictures for my contents page.
We also had a photoshop workshop where we learnt the basis of how to create, edit and use photoshop. We then did several little activites to make sure we knew what we was doing. :)

I have just completed my 6 picture sequence and evaluated it too. I managed to print both pieces of work so thats now in my planning folder! :)

I am still working on my double page spread and hopefully that will be done before thursdays lesson.

Then i need to make sure all my work is printed off and put into my folder.

Its coming along nicely :D 

My First Blog :D

I have already created several pieces of work for my planning folder these include;

One of the first tasks i did was creating a mind map of titles and categories of different types of music magazines in which i did in Microsoft Powerpoint. I researched different types of music like Rock, Punk, Blues, R&B and Pop and found out what artists go into what categories.

After completing that i started to analyse two music magazine front covers and one double page spread analysis. 

By the end of today, i hope to have completed and evaluated my 6 picture sequence telling a simple story.
